Gemma Hill from Heart Breakfast is taking on her BIGGEST CHALLENGE EVER.
To Kayak from London to Birmingham in just 5 days!
That’s a staggering distance of over 150 miles.
Her quest will launch on Monday 2nd October where she’ll we start from London, travelling up the Grand Union Canal in a one person Kayak known as a K1.
Why would you want to do something so ridiculous?
Because Gemma, just like many of us here at Heart has been touched and moved by the incredible work you’ve helped our charity Global’s Make Some Noise do over the recent years.
This is your chance to join us and make an incredible difference together.
You’ll be able to hear this epic journey unfold both on Heart as well watching it on heart.co.uk, Facebook and our Instagram channel.
Join her on the journey of her lifetime as she attempts to do a distance of over 1 marathon a day, through the aches and pains you’d expect from doing the same exercise for over 8 hours a day! There’s going to be bruising and blistering like you can’t imagine!
The plan is to make a triumphant arrival in Birmingham on the evening of Friday 6th October, Global’s Make Some Noise Day, which we’d love you to join us for too.
This is by no means an easy task, and a lot of people have questioned whether or not this is even possible in such a time. We’re not entirely sure either, so it’s going to be very interesting!
There is one massive way in which you can show your support for Gemma and that is by donating a bit of cash to help change young lives for Heart’s charity Global’s Make Some Noise. We support small but brilliant charities both here in the West Midlands and right across the UK which help youngsters and their families living with illness, disability or lack of opportunity. Your donation is literally changing lives.
